The "Gladiator" diving helmet is made with a 3/16" cast bronze
shell. This improves head protection in case of O2 pops, and
reduces electric shock to face during welding / burning
operations. This gives the diver superior head protection.
Acoustics are improved for communications.
We use the Poseidon "Xstream" regulator in the "Gladiator"
helmet. The "Xstream" is US and Swedish Navy tested. It is
the easiest breathing on the market and easiest to maintain or
changeout. It takes less than 5 minutes to changeout the
regulator in hat if ever needed. The housing is machined
bronze/brass and silverbrazed to shell. The "Xstream" is
approved according to the EN250 & CE cold water standard.
No exhaust gases pass through the regulator.
The exhaust system is a 2 into 1 flapper valve arrangement.
All 3 flappers are quick and easy to access and change-out.
The oral/nasal has the exhaust port hole directly below
the inhale port hole for the regulator. This system keeps
the oral/nasal dry, reduces CO2 carbon dioxide buildup, and
reduces accumulation of dirt/corrosion on regulator.
Provides for easier maintenance and more productive dive.
Comms are standard 8 ohm 2-speakers and 1-microphone. Can
be setup for 2-posts or marsh marine connections.
Faceplate window is 3/8" Lexan held in with brass retainer
flange screwed to shell.
At the moment "Parker" and "Swagelock" valves are used for
freeflow and 1-way checkvalves and rated 3000psi. The
bailout emergency valve is standard O2 torch handle valve
rated 450 psi.
The neckdam seals on a neopreme gasket and held in place by
swingwing latches secured by strap/buckle under chin.
The helmet can be given a variety of finishes. Plating is
available in chrome, nickel, copper, and gold for trim and
shell. Any color in powdercoating, or polishing is available.
Customization is what we like.
